DMCC support for th African diamond industry
Diamond Networking Trip Dubai was initiated by DDC to serve as a club to inspire, exchange ideas and connect professionals from the diamond industry. It is created to boost cross-industry networking, help with financing and facilitate challenges in
the diamond sector. On the 7th and 8th of November,2022in Dubai, the first networking trip took place.
There were participants from Lesotho, DRC, Sierra Leone, Botswana, Angola, and Zimbabwe. The networking trip was specially crafted for African diamondpreneurs. The group was beautifully mixed with geologists, gemmologists, traders, diamond
transport companies, mining entrepreneurs, and more.
It was a group that brought a new perspective to the diamond mining and trading
scene of Africa, internationally.
Participants were a true diamond of Africa, as we must admit Africa did well under
the pressure to create such diamonds, in time.
DDC plans to ensure the long-term sustainability of the diamond business for
African diamantaires.
We plan to bring financing, partnerships, and solutions to Africa and UAE.
This journey demonstrated how brilliant we are together. It shows that with a
healthy attitude and desire you can be wherever you want to be and be connected
with the right people.
It shows how ready are African diamondpreneurs to create, start new journeys,
connections, and projects and learn.
Since diamond mining and rough production carry a tag that screams high risk, we
want to create an evidence-based investment ecosystem in the diamond industry
to get connected with the right people on the other side, too.
This initiative was supported by DelGatto Diamond Financial Fund, as the main
sponsor, along with their new project, VanGuard, a diamond cutting unit in Dubai,
which offers solutions from financing mining to creating jewelry.
It was supported by Trans Atlantic Gem Sales, as a partner, the first tender house to
be incorporated in Dubai, and today offering monthly on average $30-40m of
rough production in Dubai.
It was supported by DMCC, hosting us as partners of the future and part of the diamond scene of Dubai.
