Eureka is a mobile application that will change the way people in the diamond industry look/find/search for diamonds. It is a simple, updated stock-listing of diamonds that belong to registered dealers and has a powerful search feature to ensure quick access to specific diamonds required by other registered dealers.
Eureka is focused on the polished diamond industry that creates a virtual marketplace for diamond dealers to showcase their current stock, categorized by colour, cut, clarity, and carat and allows potential buyers to make contact with them.
The Application is a closed App and diamond dealers need to register and be approved to use it, as well as sign specific terms and conditions that ensure the App is not abused. Encryption software is utilized to ensure all data is secure. Eureka is hosted on a secure server which is backed up daily.
Diamond dealers are able to upload updated excel spreadsheets of all their stock as required. When a diamond dealer is looking for a specific stone, he/ she searches on the App. Once the stone is found, there are various ways to contact the dealer. If the user taps request stone, an email will be sent to the specific diamond dealer ( seller ) alerting them as to that specific stone request with the details of the user/ potential; buyer. The seller will then engage with whoever has made the request to complete the transaction. Large amounts of time, resources and energy are therefore reduced leading to efficiencies and cost savings. The App also ensures that customer requests are attended to timeously and accurately, bringing the diamond trade into a new era.
