Reading Buddies & School Outreach
On the 28th of July 2025, Impilo Collection Foundation celebrated Mandela Month with our Reading Buddies program. As part of the #EmpowerThem initiative, the Foundation launched Reading Buddies Programs across Gauteng and Limpopo. Our social warriors took time to read with the children and handling out all the new books.
Vukani Primary School
150 books were donated to the library in collaboration with Read2rise.
Emadlelweni Primary School
400 books were donated to the library. Each Social Warrior spent time in classrooms from Grade 3 to Grade 5, reading and engaging with children.
130 skipping ropes were also donated to the school, along with 100 stationery packs for grade 7 students.
Nanga VhutshiloCommunity Centre
Tissue papers, cooking oils, stationery and books were donated to the community centre. This aims to ensure that there are enough food and essentials for the children who stay for aftercare at the ECD centre.
